Website design for an interior designer
Dadapt was one of the first Squarespace websites we built. It was made on Squarespace 7.0, the old version.
At the time, Dadapt had a portfolio site showcasing images of past projects, but little information about the experience, specialization, or perspective behind the work. To turn the portfolio into a website that could support the business, we defined its primary audience, rebuilt the website to communicate what made Dadapt different, and added credibility signals to position the studio as an established interior design practice.
This information is valuable for any solo practitioner, but especially for Dadapt as its target audience shifted from residential to commercial clients.
I remembered it like yesterday when I received a happy email and testimonial from the owner:
“I absolutely love the style and how well the brand voice came together. I have had an array of professional colleagues admire the new website and praise the new look and feel. The easy navigation of the site has allowed a surplus of admirers and potential clients to contact me directly for design consultation and for information which is amazing!!!” - Shari Francis, owner
Six years later, this website remains beautiful and functional. Sometimes, the best trend to follow is no trend at all.
We use a staged version of the website to protect our client’s privacy. Official website links are available upon request.
